A native posterior hip dislocation is diagnosed in the ED. Sciatic function is intact. Closed reduction under sedation fails twice against a firm block. The next step is: A Keep pulling in the bay until it goes — persistence avoids the OR B Stop forcing closed attempts; go to the OR. Repeated force against a block injures the head and can break the neck C Discharge for “spontaneous reduction overnight” D Start full weight bearing to recapture the head Ortho Conditioning
