  • AKA- above the knee amputation
  • BKA – below the knee amputation
  • BMD – bone mineral density
  • CTS – carpal tunnel syndrome
  • DHS – dynamic hip screw
  • SHS – sliding hip screw
  • FNF – femoral neck fracture
  • TITS screw – transiliac trans sacral screw (Do not use this)
  • APC – anterior posterior compression
  • LC – lateral compression
  • DTR – deep tendon reflexes
  • Ex-fix – external fixator 
  • FROM – full range of motion
  • PROM – passive range of motion
  • AROM – active range of motion
